Description of wine:
This Sauvignon Blanc is from our oldest vineyard at over 60 years of age, planted on rocky sandstone sub-soil. Though the yields are somewhat lower, the grapes ripen to an elevated sugar-level. Wines are full of fruit and minerality that fill your mouth splendidly. This particlular sample has a light straw-greenish colour with a fruity aroma suggesting peaches, dead-nettle flowers and tones of blackcurrants so typical for this cultivar. The wine is well-balanced on the palate where the slight grassy hints marry well with the fruit. You can sense the ripeness and amplitude which you will not find in other wines.
